PhD is a Life is in your hands program that focuses on acknowledging the life-saving contribution of our apheresis donors.

As a Hands of the Donor partner participating in the PhD program, you are eligible to earn points at our High-5 Online Store. Each platelet donation is worth 250 points and each split platelet donation is worth 500 points. As a platelet donor, you can donate up to 24 times per year. You will have the potential to earn numerous points, so we've recently added new items to our store specifically with our PhD program partners' exceptional point potential in mind.

With PhD program partnership, your name will be displayed on an acknowledgement wall at the donation center located at 4300 N. Lamar. As the number of blood products you donate increases, your name will travel higher up our wall, showcasing your life-saving commitment. When you donate platelets for the fourth time during a calendar year, you automatically become a PhD member.

Morgan's Story

Saving lives like Morgan's by donating platelets is in the hands of people like you. At the age of two, Morgan was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Her parents estimated that Morgan used 25 units of platelets and red blood cells within the first six months of treatment.
